God cares about you and is concerned with every detail of your life. Knowing that God created you as a unique individual with passion and purpose motivates me to come alongside what God is already doing in your life, to help facilitate the healing and growth process. I highly value the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of each client. I genuinely love and care for others. Your life story and experiences are important. By working to process past hurt, trauma, and negative feedback loops, real progress can take place. I look forward to helping you progress toward healing in order to lead your best life.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), I seek to provide individuals, couples, and families a warm and safe environment where you can process your emotions and improve your relationships. Whether you’re dealing with relationship issues, unhealthy family dynamics, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, or other concerns, it would be my privilege to walk with you toward restoration. With compassion and empathy, I will listen to your story and work with you to determine which therapeutic interventions and treatment plan will best meet your needs so you can experience the healing and positive change you desire.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
One of my goals as your counselor is for you to gain deeper understanding and insight into your past experiences that have shaped your present realities. I will collaborate with you to achieve your personal goals and help you increase emotional connectivity with your loved ones. My hope is that through our sessions together, you will feel a sense of empowerment as you realize the solutions to your problems lay within you.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a secure and caring environment where you can experience the love of Christ. As your counselor, I will listen to your story, provide a road map for healing and recovery, and seek to facilitate positive change in your unique journey. When working with couples and families, I offer a structural approach, which fosters a deeper understanding of family of origin, helps to create new patterns within the family unit, and can illicit positive changes and growth.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
One of the primary benefits of working from a Christian worldview is the openness to discuss faith and pray with clients if they so desire. Whether my client is a believer or not, I will treat them with compassion and grace, seeking to express God’s love to them. “The Lord has declared that He will restore me to health and heal my wounds” (Jeremiah 30:17, NIV).
Qualifications & Experience
I received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Biblical studies from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. I am currently credentialed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Associate Therapist. I am working on certificates in EMDR for trauma work and Filal Play therapy to help children.
My Call to Christian Counseling
Since I was a child, I knew I wanted a career helping people. I either wanted to be a teacher, a missionary, or a counselor. I ended up serving overseas conducting humanitarian endeavors for several years in my early 20’s. I developed a deep passion for helping unreached people groups and spent time in China, Russia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. I worked as a pre-school and infant teacher for 15 years. I have always valued relationships as the most important thing in my life. This has made transitioning into the role of a therapist effortless.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I was born and raised in Seattle, WA. I grew up in a single parent home, which helped shape my desire to see couples and family relationships thrive. I left home when I was 18 to conduct humanitarian work in Asia. I stayed in the Philippines for four years working with orphans, local churches, schools, and indigenous people groups. I also spent time conducting mission work in China, Malaysia, and Russia. Living in other cultures deepened my understanding about how very different and yet how similar humans behave and what they value. In my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming, traveling, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and my adorable bunny Chestnut!

Couples and Relationship Counseling
People are wired for deep connection. Everyone feels the need to belong and be loved. Human emotions run deep, and if miscommunication or mutual needs are not being met, damage can take place. By using healthy coping strategies, restoration and deeper intimacy can increase. Using Emotional Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and structural models, we can work to change the negative interactions known as “the dance” within the relationship. Learn how to meet both your needs without compromising your core values.
Individual Counseling
Everyone struggles at times throughout their life. Whether you are experiencing a specific life change or have struggled with an issue your entire life, hope and healing are possible. Developing a strong therapeutic relationship is the key to progress on your journey in counseling. Together we can use collaborative therapy to set personal goals, heal the wounds of the past, and set healthy boundaries to improve your relationships.
Counseling for Anxiety, Depression, and Stress
Dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress can take a toll on every aspect of your life. Together we can explore healthy coping mechanisms by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Evidence-based practices. We can work to shift your thoughts and behaviors to increase your well-being and add peace and hope back into your life. The skills you learn through the therapeutic process can help you navigate life’s challenges.
Trauma Therapy
Have you experienced pain? Abuse? Neglect? Traumatic experiences? If your life has included any kind of trauma, this has shaped and influenced your perspective on life and how you view and interact with the world around you. By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative, Psychodynamic, and Neuroscience, you can begin to experience hope and healing, and reclaim your life. Together we can create a beautiful mosaic picture of how brokenness can turn into wholeness.
Counseling for Family Relationships
Are you experiencing exhaustion and conflict within your family? Does your family put the “fun” in dysfunction? By using structural and strategic therapy models, you can enjoy your family by creating clear boundaries within your family subsystems. You can regain focus and fulfillment within your closest relationships, while nurturing attachment bonds that strengthen ways to interact with each member.
Spiritual Counseling
Do you long to grow closer to God? Do you want to get to know Him on deeper level? Do you desire to increase your passion for prayer and Bible study? What does God say about marriage, parenting, forgiveness, healing, and how to love people? Together we can explore the purpose and promises God has for you, to walk in the abundant life He promised.
