I am passionate about offering Christian counseling to individuals, couples, and families as they face difficult battles and continue to grow in life. I am experienced in working with a diverse range of mental health challenges including ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space for you as we invite God to be the ultimate guide of the session. With the strength of the Holy Spirit, I hope to bring a balance of faith and healing to enhance your perspective of the world and help you grow from the inside out as you continue on your journey.

My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As your counselor, I want you to feel heard and seen when we meet together. My hope is that with God’s help, we can find practical ways to conquer the obstacles you may be struggling with and make strides toward positive change. One of my goals as your counselor is to be able to assist in connecting faith with mental health services. Often we can view these as separate entities, but incorporating faith-based practices can strengthen our ability to face daily challenges.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a safe, nonjudgmental environment that welcomes you to share your concerns and issues in whatever capacity you feel comfortable. Depending on each client’s comfort level, I normally start each session with prayer. From that point, we will revisit anything we didn’t sufficiently cover in the previous session, if needed, and proceed accordingly. I will reference faith-based texts to assist the session if they can bring value to you and your situation.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I believe that using a Christian approach to counseling can benefit mental health services by including our guide, the Holy Spirit, to intercede in sessions. Using a therapeutic approach accompanied by prayer and the Word of God will often enhance the counseling experience and strengthen the client’s faith.
Qualifications & Experience
I have obtained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Jackson State University. I have my Licensed Master Social Worker (Idaho) and Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (Washington). I also have a certification in Play Therapy.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I wanted to become a counselor because I recognized the need for mental health services in underprivileged communities. I wanted to not only shed light on these disparities but also assist in bringing about the proper change.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I am very active and enjoy going to the gym. I love watching basketball, specifically the NBA with my favorite team being the Los Angeles Lakers. I am interested in learning new things about the world and how it connects to our past.

Counseling for Children and Teens
Having a prior background as a behavioral therapist working with youth across the district, I am well-versed when it comes to offering services to children and teens. Whether dealing with anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, or other concerns, I will integrate therapeutic approaches such as Play and Talk Therapy to meet your child or teenager where they are.
Family Counseling
Family dynamics are forever changing, and adjusting to these life changes can be challenging. Family sessions can look different depending on the need and can include the entire unit or certain individuals in the family unit. With the direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will learn what it means to be a part of a family as a unit and how each individual member can bring value in their own unique way.
Men’s Issues
Being a man in today’s world can have its own share of distractions and obstacles. Often it may seem taboo for a man to enter into mental health services or even share their feelings. With the assistance of God, I want to offer to remove those stereotypes and invite you into a safe space where as a man you will be heard, seen, and respected. Answer the calling that God has for you in your life.
Spiritual Development
As followers of Christ, it is common to need direction to strengthen spiritual development. You have taken the first step in challenging yourself to grow in your faith. With the Holy Spirit at the forefront, I will help you use biblical teachings, prayer, and more to dive deeper into your spirituality and nurture it to new heights.
Weight Loss
Managing one’s weight can be an ongoing battle and may seem as if there is no progress. Using therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, I will assist you in overcoming the mental hurdle when it comes to fitness. We will acknowledge setbacks and encourage small wins as we include God in our path of being physically and mentally attuned.
